It is an honor to work on a team dedicated to servicing our customers and building control panels! With an extraordinary vision, Design Ready Controls was founded over 35 years ago. It was through our founder’s strong entrepreneurial passion of building control panels, leadership, drive, and innovation we are today one of the world’s largest and most automated control panel builders in the world.
As we’ve grown over the last three decades, we have been dedicated to our people, culture, and processes to ensure we maintain the foundation that started the organization. With a team of 550+ across five locations throughout America it’s incredible to see the talent of each individual and collaboration across all facilities.
When I reflect on how we do it; there are a multitude of reasons. One that stands out the most to me is our One Company, Multiple Locations Culture. This culture and mindset are the baseline for where the performance of our organization and team begins.
Each of our team members is trained on our national presence from the start and has regular engagement across the business. Through our integrated and universally accessible (from Design Ready Controls network) software system our business was built and continues to grow on. All five of our manufacturing facilities and associated warehouses utilize and engage on the system that provides common visibility of component inventory, team performance data, production status of specific units, and much more.
What makes One Company, Multiple Locations unique and important? Each facility and team member’s ability to adapt to our customers growth and scale while maintaining the same communication, quality, and timeliness is at the core.
Witnessing the impact and collaboration with consistency offers our premier customers the opportunity to produce a single product, to the same standard, from multiple production facilities.
I’ve seen this capability insulate our customers from regional disruptions as well as improve business continuity. With an integrated system, standard processes, and team members in multiple production facilities allow for not only support greater scale to our customers but also a more rapid scale increase when required.
