Internship focus:  Marketing Intern

About Me:

I am from Prior Lake, Minnesota, and I am studying Marketing at the University of North Dakota, graduating in December 2024. Outside of school and work, I enjoy working out, hanging out with family and friends, and spending time on the lake in the summer.

What made you want to intern for Design Ready Controls?

From my first interactions at Design Ready Controls, I felt it was a perfect fit. During my initial interview with Mary and Amanda, I sensed that I would immediately dive into projects with full support from the marketing team this summer.

What do you like most about Design Ready Controls, why?

Throughout my projects, I’ve had the opportunity to engage with various people across the company. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed building connections with individuals from various departments, whether on the production floor or within the office. These interactions have enriched my experience and provided valuable insights into different aspects of the company.

What kinds of projects are you currently working on right now?

I’m finalizing and scheduling social media campaigns and blogs as I wrap up the summer. I’ve also updated our social media and event calendars to ensure we’re ahead of schedule for the upcoming year. Additionally, I recently completed the internship showcase, which I presented to fellow interns and various managers within the company.

What are your next steps and how has your Design Ready Controls internship prepared you?

This December, I will graduate from the University of North Dakota and begin my job search in the marketing field. This internship has provided invaluable insights into the professional work environment and teamwork. It has also offered practical experience in marketing, allowing me to apply the skills I’ve learned in school to real-world tasks.
