Brand Ambassador Program
To develop strategic educational and community partnerships within our local communities.
In 2023, we launched our Brand Ambassador program across all facilities at Design Ready Controls. The mission and purpose is to develop strategic educational and community partnerships within our local communities that supports the awareness of manufacturing and the careers within it. It has been a large passion for myself and others within the organization – the support from our teams to jump in and make a difference has been incredible!
Brand Ambassador Team
Each facility has a team focused on community outreach to both our educational and community partners. The team splits responsibilities on attending events and community engagement activities based on schedules and passions (ie. Robotics, Engineering, Mock-Interviews, Veterans).
Community Partners: Defined
Community partners include city, state, chamber, non-profit, workforce development and other manufacturers with the focus of creating industry and brand awareness. We have found a successful partnership is highly active and makes an impact in our local communities – making a difference in our cities and the people who live there.
Educational Partners: Defined
Educational partners include middle schools, high schools, community education, technical colleges, universities and more! The focus is to educate and inform the students of careers within manufacturing. I continuously say – what you don’t know, you don’t know and our brand ambassador team is set to provide real-life experiences. Sharing their pathways taken to where they are today – provides an example of where they started (education + experience) and how it has generated the opportunity, growth and development while part of the Design Ready Controls team.
Current State
We are diligently creating connections – seeking other organizations both in the community + education that have a drive and passion for showcasing the manufacturing industry and all the opportunities within. Our leading message is – the majority of our roles don’t require a degree! I can guarantee almost any manufacturer will welcome and teach all individuals who have a strong drive, an aptitude to learn and are a team player. Overall, this is an awesome opportunity that empowers our employees to get into the community and share their stories about working in manufacturing.
Brand Ambassador Statement
“I have had the opportunity to both speak at high schools and host Design Ready Controls booths – showcasing my career in engineering, control panel manufacturing and industry knowledge of EV chargers. While attending these events, I appreciate the variety of people and their levels of industry knowledge. Through each conversation I am always learning something new and gaining communication skills. I look to each connection as these are the various people whose ideas may help advance the future of Design Ready Controls by them joining our team.”
Future
The future of the Brand Ambassador team is to continue increasing our outreach and support to the local community and educational partners. How and what that looks like will vary based on the unique requirements of each community. We all share a common thought of, who else can we connect and engage with to help make a difference and provide an opportunity to work in manufacturing and at Design Ready Controls. I’m thrilled to be part of an incredible team, all sharing a common passion for reaching others and telling their stories about what manufacturing means to them, what their career path has looked like thus far, and where they plan to be!
