About Arin:
Arin is from Wells, Minnesota and currently attends the University of Minnesota studying plant science. Arin enjoys gardening outside – Marigolds, Mums, tomatoes, cucumbers, and sweet corn.
What made you want to intern for Design Ready Controls?
The description of the internship closely aligned with Arin’s motivation and career goals; to engage and interact with growers. Arin was also particularly drawn to the company’s size, providing an opportunity for growth and experience.
What do you like most about Design Ready Controls, why?
Arin enjoys the team, hands-on engagement, and impact she has had with growers each day. This internship provided experiences for her to apply her skills and enabled her to offer valuable suggestions on how to optimize the use of the EarthScout. Arin also really enjoyed the weekly intern activities with the larger team at the Design Ready Controls – Brooklyn Park facility.
What kinds of projects are you currently working on right now?
Arin is preparing for a major field day – completing firmware updates for six EarthScout units and maintaining and reinstalling one WeatherCub.
What are your next steps and how has your Design Ready Controls internship prepared you?
After completing her internship, Arin will be starting her junior year. This internship has provided her with insight and experiences in managing workload and professional communication skills, both beneficial for school and her future career.
